A Christian Science Reading Room is a combination bookstore, library
and study room where the public has free access to books and periodicals
published or sold by the Christian Science Publishing Society. These
include The Christian Science Monitor, and all the writings
of Mary Baker Eddy, especially Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures. A Reading Room also maintains a wide selection
of Bibles and Bible study books. It is staffed by members of the
local Church of Christ, Scientist, who can help those interested
in learning more about the Bible and Christian Science.
Our church Reading Room is a Bible Resource
Center, and also a quiet sanctuary
for prayer, study, and finding answers to questions about one's
relationship to God. We have extensive reference material to help
visitors explore the depths of biblical wisdom and its application
to everyday life. Here you can study the weekly Bible Lesson, delve
into the archives of past periodicals, or purchase current publications
and the Christian Science textbook. We also have a computer with
programs such as Concord and Found Volumes to help your search.
Our Reading Room is attached to our church at
2218 Francisco Drive
and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 PM
to 4:00, except legal holidays.
